Whats happening with the County League Team ...

Introducing Peter Buckland ... 1st Team Manager
Peter was part of the Fulham FC  Youth set-up as far back as 1974, he signed for Aldershot FC in 1976 where he stayed for 2 years. Between 1978 and 1979  he was playing at Farnborourgh and then Woking before joining Dorking FC in 1980.

Whilst the bulk of Peter’s playing career was at Dorking he also had spells at Horsham, Redhill & Crawley before moving onto a number of local village teams as his playing days came to an end.

In 1999 Peter was instrumental in forming Dorking Wanderers FC where he stayed as manager for 10 years moving them from the West Sussex League entry level up to the County League status.

In 2011, Peter took over management of Dorking FC in the Combined Counties League, turning the club around before parting ways with them and coming in to join Horsham YMCA FC at the tail end of the 2011/12 season.

In Peter’s own words ... "Football has and always will be one of my greatest passions in life."


First Team Assistant Manager

Paul Cooper (ex Manager Horsham YMCA FC Suburban Team) and former Alfold Manager, 'Coops'  has been promoted to the County League Team Asst. Manager.

Cooper has an excellent knowledge of West Sussex League football and gained several promotions and cups in his time.









First Team Coach 

Steve Barrow (ex Assistant Manager Horsham YMCA FC Suburban Team) and former Asst Manager of TD Shipley has been promoted to First Team Coach at YM.

Barrow played a pivotal role in the success of the Suburban League team last year s and before that in maintaining TD Shipley's County Leag
